Prior to coming to work at Green Valley Auctions, Kent attended Blue Ridge Community College and James Madison University and drove for UPS. Kent's 25+ years of antique and collectible knowledge have been a valuable asset to the company. His ever-growing collection includes Depression glass, early ceramics, Highland County/Shenandoah Valley items, local advertising/memorabilia, milk bottles, ephemera and pottery. He has provided objects from his collection for various exhibits by the Highland County Chamber of Commerce and Historical Society, the Virginia Quilt Museum, the Augusta County Library and the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society's Folk Art Museum. Kent enjoys delving into the history and local folklore that often accompany the pieces he acquires. Other interests include white water rafting, hiking, photography, Highland County history, cultural events in Washington DC and the works of Christopher Bram.
