She also has her own shop (This Old House Antiques) in Greenville, Virginia, which has been open since 1989. Karen has been involved with Green Valley since 1995 and her knowledge of Early American Pattern Glass and ceramics has been a tremendous asset to Green Valley's Specialty & Catalog Division where she has been cataloging specialty auctions for over 10 years. Karen is also a long-standing member of the Early American Pattern Glass Society. Karen lives with her husband in a circa 1804 log house that they restored themselves. Karen's daughter and son-in-law have provided them with two perfect grandchildren (just ask her, she'll tell you), so in her spare time, Karen especially enjoys spending time with family and friends. Other interests include reading, traveling to antique shows, auctions and shops and playing with her cats.
