History of Green Valley Auctions & Moving, Inc.

Green Valley Auctions was founded in 1967 by Leighton and Kathryn Evans. The first auctions were held in the converted bank barn on the 100 acre family farm. The children grew up working with their parents in the family business.

In 1985 Green Valley expanded the business with a new 8,000 square foot gallery. In 1997, in celebration of 30 years of success based on a foundation of honesty, integrity and trust, Green Valley Auctions opened the doors to its brand new 20,000 square foot, multi-gallery complex.

In 2009, Greg Evans, son of Leighton and Kathryn, became the sole owner of Green Valley Auctions & Moving, Inc., added in-state moving services to the company's portfolio and made a slight change to the company name to reflect the added service. With over 25,000 square feet of facilities and over 40 years of experience, Green Valley is prepared to meet every auction need, from important recognized collections to complete turn-key estate dispersals and is large enough to market your items nationally while still maintaining our commitment to personal service.

As we look to the future, we are excited to see the third generation of the Evans' family now playing a role in the auctions. Greg's two oldest sons, Sam and Mac, can be seen helping out at many auctions, or working in the kitchen with their mom.

If you've not been to Green Valley before, be sure to come check us out. Each auction contains over 1,500 lots of fresh merchandise.

We hope to see you soon!
