Beverley began working at Green Valley Auctions in 1979 when she became engaged to Jeff Evans during her senior year in high school. That same year Jeff inherited the business from his parents, and two years later, he and Beverley were married. In 1985, Beverley and Jeff's brother Greg united with Jeff as co-owners in the business. Without Bev's organization and management skills, the office at Green Valley Auctions would be a disaster.

Beverley serves on the Board of Directors of Fort Harrison, the Virginia Quilt Museum and on the Museum Committee of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society . Bev devotes many long hours of fundraising and program development. She also volunteers her services with the Early American Pattern Glass Society.

In 1992, Beverley completed five years of overseeing the restoration of the Sites House in Broadway, Virginia, a circa 1800's stone home that is on the National and Virginia Historic Register. In 1997 Beverley won two awards for the Sites House, the Frederick Doveton Nichols Award presented by the Preservation Alliance of Virginia and the Great American Home Award presented by the National Trust for Preservation.

In her spare time, Beverley enjoys cooking, shopping with Susan, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, assisting the local museums with exhibits and supporting her son's musical and theatrical interests.
