Lot 1145 - MAYNARD DIXON (AMERICAN, 1875-1946) SOUTHWESTERN GENRE PAINTING, oil on board, inscribed "El Lechero - (Milkman)" on verso over a previously painted landscape, obverse signed upper left "Feb. 15, 1915 / Maynard Dixon". First quarter 20th century. 13" x 9 1/4". Good as-found condition with light roughness/flaking at corners and edges, several small surface scuffs. Estimate: $5,000 - $8,000.

Provenance: Mary S. Graham estate, Goshen, VA.

Note: This is an estate fresh and previously unrecorded Dixon painting.
Lot 1146 - ABRAHAM LINCOLN MINIATURE PORTRAIT, watercolor on ivory, signed "Wryght" at right edge, an oval depiction of a bearded Lincoln in a brown jacket and bowtie, original ebonized-wood frame with small brass liner. Second half 19th century. 2 3/8" x 2" sight, 4 3/4" x 4" overall. Excellent condition. Estimate: $800 - $1,200.
Lot 1147 - Withdrawn because of condition issues.
Lot 1148 - ITALIAN SCHOOL MADONNA AND CHILD PAINTING, oil on canvas, original ornate gilt and gesso frame. Second half 19th century. 28" dia, 56" x 46" overall. Excellent overall condition with no restorations, some light crazing and mold to paint, frame with some minor losses and separations. Estimate: $800 - $1,200.

Lot 1149 - WHITE MARBLE STATUE OF A YOUNG DRAPED LADY, standing beside a half column, no markings located. Fourth quarter 19th/first quarter 20th century. 39" h, 12" dia base. Excellent visual condition, professional restoration to break, possible small loss to rear of column. Estimate: $500 - $800.
Lot 1150 - LOUIS ICART (FRENCH, 1888-1950) ETCHINGS, LOT OF TWO, on paper, "Blossom Time" and "Parrots", both published by Graveurs Modernes, Paris, 1926 and 1925, and with penciled signature and numbers lower margins. Matching period frames and mats. Second quarter 20th century. 15" x 19 1/2" sight, 21" x 25" overall. First with light toning at edges adjacent to mat, second with spotting to image and mat, not examined out of frame. Estimate: $200 - $300.

Lot 1151 - LOUIS ICART (FRENCH, 1888-1950) "AUX CHAMPS ELYSEES" ETCHING, on paper, copyright 1938, windmill blindstamp lower left, penciled signature and numbered "182" lower margins. Contemporary frame and mat. Second quarter 20th century. 16" x 22 1/2" sight, 24 1/2" x 30 1/2" overall. Some rubbing to image. Estimate: $100 - $150.

Lot 1152 - ART DECO PATINATED WHITE METAL STATUE OF A LADY, with French Ivory head and hands, reclining on a black marble base which is signed "MENNEVILLE". First quarter 20th century. 7 1/2" h, 18 1/4" x 4 1/2" base. Light to moderate cracking to head and hands, much wear to patina. Estimate: $200 - $300.
Lot 1153 - UNIDENTIFIED BRONZE BUST OF A GENTLEMAN, being a hollow-cast head with dark patina mounted on a square polished slate base, no signature located. 20th century. 16 1/2" h, 5 1/4" x 5 1/2" base. Excellent condition with several small chips to base. Estimate: $200 - $300.

Lot 1154 - CHARLES CHAPEL JUDSON (CALIFORNIA, 1864-1946) LANDSCAPE PAINTING, oil on canvas, depicting a small body of water with rocks and tress, blue mountains in the background, signed "C. Chapel Judson" lower right. Period dark wood frame. First half 20th century. 7" x 9 3/4" sight, 14" x 17" overall. Excellent condition with light surface crazing. Estimate: $200 - $300.
Lot 1155 - ASIAN SCHOOL BOVINE GENRE PAINTING, oil on canvas, depicting four Highland cattle at a waterhole with mountains in background, illegible signature lower right. In a gilded frame. First half 20th century. 19 1/2" x 29 1/2" sight, 27" x 37" overall. Canvas with 2 1/2" tear at left side, losses to frame. Estimate: $200 - $300.
Lot 1156 - F. WEBER ETCHINGS, LOT OF TWO, cityscape and landscape subjects, each with penciled signature in lower right margin. Older maple frames and mats. First half 20th century. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" and 6" x 8 1/4" plate sizes. Excellent condition. Estimate: $100 - $150.
Lot 1157 - MINIATURE WATERCOLOR PORTRAIT ON IVORY, depicting a blue-eyed Colonial gentleman in brown jacket, no signature located, sealed in a bright-cut rose gold frame with later broach conversion. First half 19th century. 2 1/2" x 2". Ivory with crack from top to bottom and through face. Estimate: $100 - $150.
Lot 1158 - SWISS CYLINDER 12-TUNE MUSIC BOX WITH NINE BELLS, marquetry inlaid and banded rosewood case, applied and molded feet, label on lid interior lists names of tunes. Fourth quarter 19th century. 10 1/4" h, 27" w, 12" d. Very good working condition, needs cleaning, case with wear to front edge of lid and some loss/cracking to veneers. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500.
Lot 1159 - SWISS CYLINDER 8-TUNE MUSIC BOX, marquetry inlaid and ebonized rosewood case with end handles, applied base moldings and half-moon feet, label on lid interior lists names of tunes. Fourth quarter 19th to early 20th century. 7 1/4" h, 24" w, 10 1/2" d. Very good as-found condition, working but needs repairs including replacing two comb teeth, minor veneer losses and separations to case. Estimate: $400 - $600.
Lot 1160 - PAIR OF ITALIAN MARBLE DOUBLE-COLUMN PEDESTALS, each with a rectangular top and base, tops not attached. Mid 20th century. 33 3/4" and 34 1/2" h, 7" x 14 1/2" top. Crack to one column, one top probably replaced. Estimate: $300 - $500.
Lot 1161 - BRONZE SCULPTURE OF MERCURY AFTER JEAN DE BOLOGNE, being a standing figure holding a bag above his head, signed "J. de Bologne" across base. Late 19th/early 20th century. 24" h. Loss of caduceus in left hand, somewhat uneven and dirty surface. Estimate: $200 - $300.
Lot 1162 - FRENCH ORMOLU MOUNTED PORCELAIN ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, consisting of an inkstand with hanging urn-form inkwell above an oval tray decorated with cherubs, all raised on four paw feet, along with a bolted urn lacking its cover. Fourth quarter 19th to first quarter 20th century. 6 1/2" h, 4" x 9", and 7 1/4" h, 4" dia rim. Inkstand excellent with some light wear and spotting to patina, urn with restoration. Estimate: $150 - $250.
Lot 1163 - CONTINENTAL GILT-BRASS DECORATIVE ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, consisting of a globe hinged along the equator and supported by two griffin figures, along with a hinged top flaming-urn figure on a black marble base, marked "G. BOSISIO" on interior. 20th century. 9" h, 16 1/2" w, and 16" h, 5 3/4" dia. Excellent condition with dirt and spotting to patina. Estimate: $100 - $150.
Lot 1164 - JAPANESE DAIBUTSU BUDDHA BRONZE HOLLOW FIGURE, depicting the statue in Kamakura, no markings located. 19th or 20th century. 12 1/4" h, 10" x 8 1/2" base. Very good condition with a lightly spotted patina, minute hole to front edge. Estimate: $100 - $150.
Lot 1165 - TWO ITALIAN GILT AND PATINATED METAL FIGURES, each depicting a soldier of the past standing on a two-step onyx base, plaque under base inscribed "31/200USA / MADE IN ITALY". Mid 20th century. 9 3/4" and 10 3/4" h overall. One detached from base, otherwise only some tarnishing and light wear. Estimate: $100 - $150.
Lot 1166 - QUEEN ANNE MAHOGANY WALL MIRROR, applied cut-out crest, molded frame, original glass. Pine secondary wood. Second half 18th century. 17 1/2" x 13" overall. Side cut-outs of a later date, otherwise excellent. Estimate: $100 - $150.

Lot 1167 - TWO INLAID MAHOGANY FOLDING GAME BOARDS, first with banded top, interior game surface and no storage compartment, second with exterior and interior game surfaces, and a storage area containing chess pieces, checkers, etc. 19th century. 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" and 5 1/4" x 9". Excellent condition with expected wear, unknown completeness of game pieces. Estimate: $100 - $150.
Lot 1168 - VARIOUS METALWARES REFERENCE VOLUMES, LOT OF TEN, including Hornsby's "Pewter of the Western World, 1600-1850", and Cox's "Silver Flatware", plus eight others, six hard covers, four soft covers. Fair to excellent condition. Estimate: $75 - $125.

First quarter 18th century. 19 1/4" x 23" sight, 22 1/2" x 26 1/4" overall. Very good condition with light fold, 1/8" x 1/4" hole in lower left corner, very light foxing to upper left, not examined out of frame. Estimate: $800 - $1,200.

Lot 1172 - 1719 ENGLISH EMPIRE IN AMERICA HAND-COLORED MAP, "A New Map of the English Empire in America viz Virginia, Maryland, Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, New Iarsey, New England, Newfoundland, New France, etc.", John Senex, London, framed. First quarter 18th century. 20" x 23 1/2" sight, 23" x 26 1/2" overall. Very good condition with light fold, light overall toning and a stain to lower right corner, not examined out of frame. Estimate: $500 - $800.

First quarter 19th century. 19 1/2" x 21 3/4" sight, 28 1/2" x 30 1/2" overall. Very good condition with a horizontal and a vertical fold, some light toning and marking, not examined out of frame.
